Project goal

Cloud-based all-in-one retail management for fashion retail

Many vendors. One problem.
No system built for fashion.

Hertlein Mode had invested in an online store early on – a forward-thinking decision that quickly exposed the limitations of their existing system. The point-of-sale system was outdated and no longer legally compliant. A replacement system offered short-term relief but wasn't designed for fashion retail: standard requirements like sizes, colors, and variants were difficult to map cleanly, making meaningful reporting nearly impossible. On top of that, the business was running multiple parallel vendors for the webstore, POS, and accounting. No central system, no clean data foundation, and recurring issues with data transfer between tools. Every interface was a potential source of errors; every disruption meant extra work. All of that was valuable time that could have been better spent on consulting and sales. The goal was clear: one single system that does it all – and actually thinks in terms of apparel.

Searched with purpose.
Found quickly.

The company actively set out to find a new, suitable retail management system. After thorough research, the search led to the EuroCIS trade show in Düsseldorf, where the team visited the advarics booth. The conversation there was more than just informative – from the very first exchange, it was clear that this was a team that speaks the language of fashion retail. No generic promises, but concrete answers to the real challenges of apparel retail. The friendliness and expertise of the sales team left a lasting impression and ultimately became a genuine factor in the final decision.

Intuitive. Cloud-based.
Built for fashion retail.

In the end, it came down to a head-to-head race between advarics and a competitor. What made the difference was the user experience: clearly structured, well-organized, and self-explanatory. Once you understand the system, even more complex processes are easy to navigate. Small details make a big difference here – a collapsible sidebar for a cleaner screen view, pinnable content for quick access, and a consistent logic that runs through every area of the system.

The result: a solution that's as powerful as it needs to be and as simple as possible.

Another deciding factor was the direct integration of the webstore. The previous manual inventory reconciliation had been error-prone, time-consuming, and regularly led to discrepancies between online and in-store stock. With advarics, the process runs fully automatically: the cloud-based solution keeps all channels in sync at all times – whether it's a store location, the POS, or the webstore. No manual effort, no error messages, no duplicate data entry.

Smooth implementation.
Support that's actually there.

The implementation was structured, well-prepared, and free of unpleasant surprises. What initially seemed like a complex project turned out to be a very manageable process. Since the first inventory count with advarics, stock levels have been consistently accurate – no error messages, no correction rounds. The POS functionality has also been a hit in day-to-day operations. Younger staff members in particular get up to speed without much onboarding, because the interface is genuinely intuitive.

What Hertlein Mode values most about advarics is the support: reliable, fast, and competent – even when you're not on-site yourself. Issues aren't just reported; they get resolved. For anyone in fashion retail looking for a system that truly thinks in terms of apparel, advarics delivers an answer that holds up.

"My number one tip for any retailer working with fashion: you need a retail management system that was built for the apparel industry – and thinks that way too. With advarics, that's exactly what we found."
